This tour will allow you to observe several species of lemurs in Madagascar, such as the black-and-white ruffed lemur, the blue-eyed black lemur (Eulemur flavifrons), the red- bellied lemur (Eulemur rubriventer), the crowned lemur, and the bamboo lemur.
You will also have the chance to see chameleons and endemic tortoises of Madagascar.

Description
Île aux Prunes is the perfect place to discover the beauty of the lagoon — observe marine animals, enjoy contact with land nature, and especially climb to the top of the lighthouse for a panoramic view.
It is the tallest lighthouse in Africa, standing 66 meters high.
Many plants grow there, perfect for those who love vegetation, and a variety of vertebrate and invertebrate animals can also be found.
In summary, Île aux Prunes does not have white and fine sand, but rather coral debris. Snorkeling is ideal for those who wish to explore the lagoon’s marine life.

Program
Day 1: March 9, 2026: Toamasina – Palmarium
Departure: 9:00
The Zamilane Tours team will welcome you at the port and then transfer you to the river port.
Departure from the river port by private boat. We will cruise along the artificial canal, lakes, and lagoons. Throughout the journey, you will discover lush green landscapes and the daily life of the local population using the canal: traditional fishing, transport, and laundry.
After approximately 2h30 of navigation, you will arrive at “Nid de Rêve” (Dream’s Nest). Check-in at the hotel.
In the afternoon, visit the Palmarium reserve to observe the lemurs, always friendly to tourists. They don’t hesitate to jump on shoulders and look for bananas. In the late afternoon, we will take you to see a unique species of lemur from the Daubentoniidae family, called the Aye-aye.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Palmarium.
Day 2: March 10, 2026: Palmarium – Toamasina – Return
Departure from Palmarium: 7:00
After breakfast, we embark for the return to Toamasina. Arrival at the port. Our car will take you to the largest market in the city center called Bazary Be. If time permits, we will take you on a city tour to discover our city, which is full of the history of the colonists who colonized Madagascar.
Then, around 3:00 PM, we will definitively return to the port, where your boat is located.
